BUILT BY DOING

AN OWNER’S MINDSET

“I believe strong businesses are built by staying close enough to understand what is happening, while creating the people, systems and discipline that allow the company to grow beyond the owner”.  Axe Hinojosa

ABOUT AXE

Education: Ph.D. in Communication — Liberty University

Axe Hinojosa is an entrepreneur, operator, and acquirer whose experience has been built through ownership.

His path has crossed multiple industries — from digital marketing and solar to multi-location service businesses and retail distribution. Along the way, he has founded and operated four companies, built teams, developed systems, opened new locations, managed growth, and learned what happens when strategy meets the realities of day-to-day operations.

That experience shaped a simple belief: great businesses are built in the details.

Growth is rarely one big decision. It comes from improving the way a company operates, putting the right people in the right seats, understanding the customer, protecting the culture, managing the numbers, and consistently solving the problems that stand between where a business is and where it could be.

Building companies from the ground up also created an appreciation for established businesses. A company with a strong reputation, loyal customers, good people, and years of history already has something valuable. The opportunity is not always to reinvent it — sometimes it is to strengthen what already works.

Today, Axe’s focus is expanding beyond building businesses from scratch and toward acquiring established companies with strong foundations and meaningful potential.

The objective remains the same:

Build well. Operate with discipline. Grow with purpose. Create something that lasts.

THE PATH WASN’T LINEAR. THE LESSONS WERE.

Every business brought a different set of challenges. Marketing taught the value of customer acquisition and positioning. Solar brought experience in sales-driven operations. Ranger Tattoo & Piercing became an exercise in building teams, systems, culture, and multi-location operations. RT Tattoo Supply expanded that experience into retail, inventory, distribution, and recurring professional customers.

Different industries. Different business models. The same underlying principles: people, process, execution, and disciplined growth.

WHAT’S NEXT

The next chapter is focused on acquisition.

Axe is interested in established businesses with proven demand, strong customer relationships, capable teams, and opportunities to improve operations or expand intelligently.

The goal is not acquisition for the sake of accumulation.

It is finding great businesses worth owning — and making them even better.
